However, why have we not seen any CCTV footage released? Is this
another case of equipment fitted but not working, as on the 7/7
explosion on route 26?

Peter Hendy bull****ed his way out of this by saying that the cameras
couldn't have witshstood the blast, yet the images are digitally stored
on a hard drive located on a part of the bus which was undamaged. The
destruction of the cameras was irrelevant in this instance as the
footage of the bomber would have already been recorded and archived.

TfL posters tell us 9 out of 10 buses are now fitted with CCTV.
Question is, how many are actually working?

Presumably because the police had enough evidence to arrest someone
without the need for assistance from the public.

Who knows? In the UK it is usually considered better not to release
evidence before the trial and verdict (unless really necessary) since
otherwise jury members might be prejudiced by reports they see in the
media, and the defence may explain inadvertent corroborative statements
by the accused by claiming that these facts were merely observed in
press reports.

This remains an important question, but it is not one that is
necessarily relevant to the route 43 murder. If there is video evidence,
I would not expect it to appear before the trial.

In what way did you expect London Buses to "deal with" this event? The

Just because footage hasn't been released to the public
doesn't mean that there wasn't good quality CCTV on the
bus circulated to police quite quickly after the incident.

Or not, obviously.

Indeed...But one might be "Statistically" safer from either Terrorist or
Nutcase attack were there to be a Well Trained and Motivated Conductor on
board one`s bus.
Pressing ahead with the removal of Conductors from the remaining London TPO
routes in the run up to Christmas does not exactly appear like a commonsense
approach to addressing a percieved threat from whatever quarter.....unless
one belongs to the loonier fringes of the Accountancy profession ?

I suspect Peter Hendy & Co certainly belong to the "loonier fringes of
the Accountancy profession", firstly by justifying free travel for the
3rd world on bendy-bus routes, and secondly in allowing indigenous
feral low-life to swamp all services with the forthcoming free travel
for teenagers too.
