Faversham Newark
What's the cheapest way to do this journey? One adult and one child, They do
have a family railcard. I would say go by coach, but I don't know if there are any rail offers they could take advantage of. Sorry if it's the wrong group, but I didn't know which other group to ask in, and they are going through London. Marcus |

We'd need to know when (date and approximate time) the journey is taking place to be absolutely accurate, as various advance rail fares are quota- or time-before-journey- controlled. As a first data point, travelling tomorrow you can get Super Advance Singles, which with the railcard come to a total of 35.70. Journey time 3 hours - 1 hour into Victoria, 40 mins across London to Kings Cross (a single short tube journey), 1h20 to Newark. As for the coach, it appears National Express don't serve Faversham - the nearest place I could think of which they do was Canterbury. Travelling tomorrow, you can get an adult and a child single for a total of 43.20 (44.10 on a Friday). The journey time is *seven hours*, including a 70 minute wait at Victoria Coach Station. -- Larry Lard Replies to group please |
