Major Incident at Headstone Lane
The Silverlink Metro and Bakerloo were completely halted this evening by a
"major incident" at Headstone Lane. However, there was no mention of the incident or the disruption on LBC local radio. Anybody have any info ? Cheerz, Baz |

Major Incident at Headstone Lane
Excuse the maybe naive and somewhat depressing question, but does this
usually mean suicide or could it also be a 'normal' accident? |

AIUI, yes and yes... Thanks for the info, guys. I was particularly interested because my young daughter was stranded on High St Kilburn station with no trains in either direction and no information from station staff or illuminated signs or loudspeakers !! Eventually she had to take a bus to Queens Park, Bakerloo to Baker Street then Met to Harrow. I find that Silverlink, who manage High St Kilburn station and the one at Harrow & Wealdstone are very bad at giving information and even when they do, the only announcements which can be understood are the pre-recorded ones about station security. If it happens again, she should get a 328 bus from Kilburn High Road to West Hampstead. -- John Rowland - Spamtrapped Transport Plans for the London Area, updated 2001 http://www.geocities.com/Athens/Acro...69/tpftla.html A man's vehicle is a symbol of his manhood. The man, who has not been named, was walking across the tracks with a friend when he was struck by a train at 9.55pm. He was taken to hospital, but died soon after from his injuries. His friend was unhurt but was being treated for shock. A British Transport Police spokesman said that it appeared the men had been trespassing on the tracks and trying to use them as a shortcut. They are not treating the death as suspicious. .................................................. .............. Burkey |
