It's actually the docks next to the runway. The bit to the left is the
road which crosses it.

Looks like one of those 'fake fuselages' that airport fire crew set on fire
to practice extinguishing blazes.

It's actually the docks next to the runway. The bit to the left is the
road which crosses it.


So I might be right when I suggest a plumbing fitting?

fire brigade practice.

Quite visible if you take the pedestrian footpath over the Connaught
Bridge.

I was to;d the reason for using the green machines was because the sight of a
real burnt out airframe was considered upsetting for nervous passengers.
