How much running Etc You need to define "route" and "in London" more precisely, but there is a route (continuous journey in passenger service in the same train without reversing) that is wholly within Greater London and takes (or did so when I last researched it two years ago) 20 hrs 8 min. How much running Etc How do you define 'London'? Do you mean 'Which route takes the longest to complete?' or 'Which route is the longest distance?' Two losers for you: 288 Queensbury - Edgware - Broadfields Estate - Edgware - Queensbury. 305 Edgware - The Hale - Burnt Oak - Kingsbury. -- Helen D. Vecht: Edgware. |

I think a "winner" for length is usually the N47, Trafalgar Square to St Mary Cray (obviously only a winner at night). -- Dave Arquati Imperial College, SW7 www.alwaystouchout.com - Transport projects in London |

How much running Etc You can find the lengths of every bus route here http://www.londonbusroutes.net/details.htm It looks like the longest normal day route in Greater London is the 111 Heathrow - Kingston (25km) and at night the N89 Trafalgar Square - Erith (34km). Yes, good point - probably one of the longest day routes (Shepherd's Bush to Uxbridge for the uninitiated). The 113 seems pretty long too - Oxford Circus all the way to Edgware. The N207 is also a potential candidate amongst the night routes - Holborn to Uxbridge, it must be one of the longest (and very frequent: every 10 minutes at the weekends). -- Dave Arquati Imperial College, SW7 www.alwaystouchout.com - Transport projects in London |
