For example, can someone at HQ see where I have used my Monthly paper
travelcard. Or alternatively can my ticket be read, and my journey details
extracted ?

The gate knows when the ticket was last used. Beyond that, I don't
think any central logging is done.

Looking to the future, will the Oyster be tracked as you scan it through ?
If someone steals it, could they be pinpointed ?
