Lost annual Oystercard and forgot security answers

Hi,

I've lost my annual Oyster card and forgot my security answers.
Oyster Customer Care answered me that unfortunately they were unable to
send me out a replacement or cancel my card because they have been
unable to find my Oyster card details on the system.
I paid my Oyster card with a check of my company, do you think that
this can help to find my details on the system?

I told this to the customer care but nobody could care less.

suggestions?

thanks

I had no difficulty arranging replacement of a lost PAYG Oyster today.

I am far too stupid to remember complicated security questions/answers
over any great length of time unless I tell the truth, so I don't
fabricate answers. (I suspect my lost Oyster had not been used for
nearly 3 years. I have no idea where it is but there is sufficient cash
balance to make replacement worthwhile, which I discovered after
visiting the Oyster website. The original was ordered online in January
2004)

I do know my mother's maiden name, which is why I chose to use this.
I know the name of my first school, which is used as a security question
elsewhere.
(Actually, anyone with access to Friends Reunited can know which was my
first school...)

I use a very small number of usernames and passwords for my various
online accounts, but these are not easily guessable by others.

I am too stupid to cope with too much security... (I do know my PIN
codes however)

IME if you make it too complex to 'improve security' you are LOST.

I take it you still know your mother's maiden name, don't you??

I can't remember if I was asked my date of birth somwhere along the
Oyster application line. I probably was and have not forgotten this yet!

Did you get your original Oyster online? If you did, the card number and
order history are on the Oyster website if you can access it. If you
remember your username I think Oyster can send you a new password by
email.
