I drive around Hampstead a lot, and a regular problem is these women
stopping to talk to each other, blocking the road. Of course, once one woman
has a vehicle three foot higher than a normal car, her friends have to have
the same, otherwise they are looking up to her when they stop for a chat. So
it's hard to see the problem going away, and 400 quid road tax is not going
to encourage these very wealthy women from buying a little car that will
have them craning their neck to talk to the underside of their friends'
chins.
