For their latest Oyster advertising campaign, TfL have put up posters
at Tube stations including one that says something along the lines of "The Big Freeze - bus fares on Oyster are charged at 2000 prices". Now UIVMM, back in 2000, bus fares were £1 if the journey included Zone 1 and 70p otherwise. This means that the current Oyster fare of £1 for bus journeys within Z2-6 is a 43% increase on the equivalent 2000 fare. (FWIW I've seen the poster at several stations in Z2-6.) Does this call for a complaint to the ASA? |

Does this call for a complaint to the ASA? Why bother? By the time the ASA gives any recommendation (if they find in your favour), TfL will have finished its campaign anyway. Jonathan |
