Google says 20 mins - does that sound right for Friday rush hour?

No it doesn't (not that I've ever done it)

And it's Clapham.

That sounds very optimistic, I would allow at least 30-40 mins. Also it
depends on where you need to be - you could easily spend 10-15 minutes
getting across the Common itself if you need the south side and traffic is
heavy.
