Ironically, I only went by train that day because earlier in the week a car trip to Reading had taken 2 hours longer than normal. They won't be getting any more of my custom where I have a choice. tim In theory you can escalate to Passanger watch or the Rail regulator. I strongly suggest you put theory into practice Tim. for 10 pounds, ICBA tim Which is what FGW (and other companies, not just rail ones) rely on. Personally I think every successful escalation of anything should result in the value increasing 10-fold. |

This all made our day a bit of an epic, is there any point in complaining, and to who, and is any compensation due? Depends what caused it. Presumably you were over an hour late so you'll get 50%, maybe 100% (if you were two hours late) of the return ticket price back in vouchers http://www.firstgreatwestern.co.uk/Content.aspx?id=442 You can get a form from a station. Or, I believe, from their website. You do need to have kept the ticket(s) to send in with the form. You're forgetting the double compensation FGW are currently offering - I believe you're entitled currently to all your money back (in rail vouchers) for delays in excess of an hour.
