Hinton Road was once part of tram route 48 to West Norwood (and part of a horse tramway to Tulse Hill before that), but I don't know of any tram depot in the immediate area. However, there were several junctions in nearby roads necessitated by single-track running on narrow streets, so it would have been possible to turn back short workings there, although I don't know if that actually happened. There's an old photo of the nearby area he http://www.urban75.org/brixton/history/milkwood1.html -- Paul Terry |
