Brits are really ****ed with all rail building draining money from roads along with causing high congestions and the crumbling of the roads. Go tell them your opinions at uk.transport and see how they attack you with your highly destructive opinions. http://www.transwatch.co.uk/transport-fact-sheet-8.htm From your use of "****ed" to (presumably) mean "annoyed" rather than "drunk", I'd guess you are in the rebel-controlled colonies? So you might not know that Transport Watch is a one bloke, not an organisation, and pretty much no-one takes him seriously (well, maybe uk.transport do!). King George V - Woolwich Arsenal A whole 2.5 km, and the fact it is a river crossing is a bit of a special case. with quite a lot more expected in teh next few years. I'm an habitué of uk.railway, but am definitely a 'carhead' (I do a lot more miles in a car than on the rails and currently own 5 cars/Land Rovers.) I work in both the highways and rail industries and see no reason why the two modes can't exist side by side with appropriate investment in each. They key word is *appropriate*. |
