What are those orange and yellow "target" like things one sometimes (but
not always) sees on the front nearside wing of London taxis?

I've always assumed they signify that the cabby's a member of one of the

which they can use their Taxicard need a taxi which is on Comcab.

I'm pretty sure they've divested all the cowie stuff - van leasing etc.,
too - with the possible exception of their DAF bus import dealership.

That was still active until 2007 - it supplied buses on Arriva's route 393 -
but a glance at their website shows a painfully aged bus, and still shows a
2007 date!
