London Underground book recommendations?

Hello. I wasn't sure which newsgroup to post this to so I thought I'd
try here first.

I'm looking for a decent book (with a good mix of text and photographs)
on the London Underground - it's history, construction, maintenance,
rolling stock, disused stations and any other technical information.

Can anyone suggest a definitive publication?

Thanks for any advice,
Simon.

Probably "Rails through the Clay". It's been recommended before and
recently.

It's sitting on my desk at work still unread, from the days London
Underground was a client. Will get started once I finish 'Life of Pi'.
