From eWatford Observer Thursday 2nd July 2009 Watford Junction plans get cash boost By John Harrison » Plans to renovate Watford Junction have received a major boost following news the project has been approved for a multi-million pound grant. The train operator, London Midland, has received approval for funding for the improvement programme, which is estimated will cost between £1.5 million and £3 million. As part of the plans the station forecourt will be improved, along with the platforms and the station entrance. The plans are for work to begin next Spring, with the improvements completed by September 2010.
