West Hampstead Thameslink station new entrance
I walked along Iverson Road on Sunday and saw that good progress is
being made on the new overbridge and lifts at West Hampstead Thameslink station. However the new entrance from Iverson Road does not yet exist, as the strip of land between the road and the new overbridge appears to still be occupied by the outdoor part of a garden centre. Is anyone aware of the timescale for this land to be vacated, and the station works to be completed and commissioned? Kind regards, Dominic |

Kind regards, Dominic Just saw this today on the Network Rail site: http://www.networkrailmediacentre.co...7&NewsAreaID=2 Gives an idea of the timescales, new entrance by summer 2010, streetworks at the junction of Iverson Rd and West End Lane, including some demolition of NR owned properties, following in spring 2011... Does that mean the lifts will only allow platfom to platform access until then, or might there be a temporary level access? Paul S |

Kind regards, Dominic Follwo up to this, Network Rail have just been given planning permission for the Iverson Rd entrance, with work to start in Feb and complete in summer 2010. http://www.networkrailmediacentre.co.uk/content/detail.aspx?ReleaseID=4916&NewsAreaID=2&SearchCate goryID=8 Paul S |
