Metro Travel completely miss the point
 

AIUI the Metro Travel page in the daily freesheet is written by/for TfL...

Today's page is written as though the Mayor will today set out a £6billion
investment programme. You know the sort of thing - 'Residents in south
London are to benefit from a massive blah blah...'

Thinks, what could this new project be, that's a fair bit of cash after all.
But it's none other than ELL Phase 2, Thameslink, 10 car trains for SN, etc
etc.

I think the article is supposed to be based on this:

which is little more than an exercise in locking the stable door after the
horse has bolted, they are just picking over the London Bridge - Victoria
SLL service and the cancelled Bellingham service all over again.
