A bit of a walk from Acton Town, in fact much closer to Ealing Common
being about a minute's walk from it, but Dante pizzeria do SERIOUSLY
good Italian-style pizza and pasta and it's very reasonably...

I would take it to mean neither. That article doesn't specify, but it
could mean someone who inspects tickets on a bus where all passengers
are already required to hold them as a "revenue protection"...

I reckon
N11 bus from Stamford Brook (well, point where Chiswick High Rd becomes
King St) to Victoria. Every 30 mins throughout the night, timetable on
www.tfl.gov.uk.
Southern train from Victoria....

All tube station ticket offices sell Savers as I recall. Perhaps they
are above such activity; you could try purchasing from there.

The morning peak £1.00 bus fare on prepay is still planned, although
