Odd, they've changed the destination blind on the front to show "sorry not in service". *What was the point in doing that?! *It was definately showing the full C3 destination in earlier photos... When the bus hit a bridge at Kentish Town West last year they did the same and also put white stickers over the London General (that's LONDON GENERAL) logos and all of the identifying numbers. All of the press pictures were taken before they did it, so I have no idea what the purpose was. U |

Just want to be sure... ![]() (Doesn't quite seem as much of an issue when it wasn't their fault, though). Neil -- Neil Williams Put my first name before the at to reply. |

I'm led to believe that that sort of thing also goes on in the event of a plane crash (where the wreckage is recognisable as such). Neil -- Neil Williams Put my first name before the at to reply. |

The logic with airlines is that people may be put off flying with Air XYZ if they recall seeing pictures of an Air XYZ plane in pieces. It's not a new habit: I recall them painting over the logos 50 years ago. I somehow doubt though that people will think 'better not get on that C3 bus, it might overturn'. It's not just a logical thing. It also affects the irrational (and even subconscious) parts of the mind - the mental association with the image of the fallen bus triggers an emotional reaction. |

Because most people seeing it on TV aren't ever going to see it at the scene. |
