Seems the taggers know all about it though and can find their way inside.

You may have missed it at the time, but a few years ago graffiti 'artists'
wrecked a central area deep tube station during Christmas Day, *apparently
despite all the supposed continuous CCTV surveillance they'd just walked the
few miles down the tracks from one of the portals.

Camden Town was a notable one, and others have been 'done' as well.
CCTV surveillance ain't going to help much if someone isn't watching
it! (Of course it might be useful to rewind the tape, but one rather
suspects the sprayers were savvy to the watching eyes.) There was
stuff said at Christmas just gone about how better security measures
were to be in place on the 25th, and as I recall there wasn't a
recurrence.
