Default New Victoria Line Stock

Have been on them twice so far and both times the trains were taken out of
service due to problems

I've avoided getting on them as well, but that's because they give such an
uncomfortable and frankly disconcerting ride

Fortunately due to the astoundingly bright light on the front, they can be
detected before getting close to the platform

After 2 weeks of appalling service on the normally fairly reliable Victoria
Line, I finally saw an apology at Blackhorse Road tonight. In the last 10
days, I've been very late for work after a much unwanted sauna on 4
occasions

My best alternative route involves the Jubilee Line which I am aware is not
too reliable. It seems even the DLR cannot be relied upon these days

I would like to add I have no complaints when it comes to staff or customer
service and even onboard communication has generally been good. Could have
been better at Liverpool St on Monday morning with severe overcrowding.
There was a moment when I genuinely feared for my life

At least you got to see one.

I keep reading comments like this on blogs and find it rather odd given
there are 7 or 8 of the things knocking around M-F. I can't avoid them
now in the mornings. Trains 234 (0658), 235 (0703), 236 (0708) and 237
(0712) ex Seven Sisters s/b are now all 09 stock. It's almost as if the
Vic Line management has calibrated their "Corfield radar" to align with
the despatch of new trains from Northumberland Park depot.

Trains running through from Walthamstow at that time of day are 67 stock
but are so full you can't get a seat at Seven Sisters.

I regularly see 09 stock in the evenings too.

None of them are running at the weekends, are they?

The 09 stock kind of strikes me as an urban legend. Somebody who knows
somebody who knows somebody once claimed to have seen one.

If only. Unfortunately, I have experienced them myself.

Well if that's how you wish to consider them fine. *I assume you
therefore consider all the other reams of remarks from various posters
on here, endless newspaper and web comments over the last few days to be
completely fallacious just because you personally have not been on one
of these trains!? *I shall also assume the one I caught to work this
morning and the one in the platform at Victoria this afternoon were also
figments of my imagination. *Can't wait to tell everyone that I was
really teleported by the power of my imagination to work most mornings
this week!

Do you think the world isn't round because you haven't personally been
in orbit or else flown round the world?

I got on one of these "figments of my imagination" to go home last
night, and the train was quite sticky and hot inside. This was
probably due to the fact that the ventilators were blowing warm air
around the carriage. Perhaps LUL could advertise that the new
Victoria Line trains come with free hair dryers! I assume that they
will wait until the middle of winter before they make them blow cold
air.

Joking apart, I should have thought that these issues would have been
detected and fixed during the "extensive hours of testing" that were
carried out last year. (and for which we had to endure a series of
weekend closures last summer)

Apparently some of the problems have been down to door sensors. It just
beggers belief that in 2010 they still can't design door sensors that can
cope with an overcrowded tube train. This really should be simple basic
engineering that an undergraduate could design.

So should designing a seat that fits a human being. So should putting
windows in train sides.

I think that 2009 stock seats should be compulsory at TfL board
meetings from now on.
