I do thing, for all that is wrong with our current system, we live in much more enlightened times with regard to the future of our railways and project transport infrastructure in general (although local rural buses sadly are not included in this). The 1960s, age of concrete communism. We had families pushed in tower blocks and soul less ofice blocks linked by lethal roads. OTOH, The countryside is one area that the private car can come into its own. |
