Would one you LUL folk answer a question for me please?

Sitting in the rear car of a westbound Central Line train I noticed at
Bethnal Green there is a door inscribed 'Playback Room'.

What is this room used for, playing back what?

At a guess, playing back CCTV footage.

worked with BTP on specifying playback facilities "used at most stations
and control centres" in order to comply with criminal evidencing
standards.
