Which LU lines have trains with the most and least "oomph" for want of a technical expression (power-to-weight ratio?). -- gordon I haven't travelled on the Central Line recently, but supposedly with Automatic Train Operation, the trains' acceleration is improved compared with non-ATO operation. The Jubiliee line with their 1995 stock trains is in my experience the quickest away from stops. Paris and Lille have very quick metro trains and I believe they achieve acceleration rates up to 1.4 metres per second per second so you really do have to hold on! |
