I'm sure someone in your line of work can afford a car to commute in. There's no way in hell I'd cycle along my route to work. I'd be dead in a week if I tried it on the north circular. Most roads leading into major cities are far too dangerous for the former, as you say. |

However, training in the gym is pretty dull, and getting out onto the open road is a lot more interesting. I'd struggle to motivate myself if I did all my training in the gym. |
