Yes, but the point is that the greater depth allows a wider choice of route. You still have to avoid the foundations, because many of them are piles that were bored upwards of 30m deep, starting from a deep basement. Also, it's not about avoiding physically hitting the piles themselves, but about avoiding where they put their loads into the soil below. ;-) |
