http://www.tfl.gov.uk/corporate/media/newscentre/21387.aspx and
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-15401728 report that Oyster will be extended to Theobalds Grove, Waltham Cross, Cheshunt, Brentwood, Shenfield, Broxbourne, Rye House, St Margarets, Ware and Hertford East from February, 2012. I am delighted. I hope Freedom Pass validity will be similarly extended. -- Walter Briscoe |

I am delighted. I hope Freedom Pass validity will be similarly extended. They'd have to agree to extend it outside the existng zones first. AFAICT from the July version of the 'Freedom pass map' it isn't valid beyond Harrow and Wealdstone (on SN and LM), and it isn't valid outside zone 6 on c2c (pseudo zone G) either. Given that it is a 'combined London Councils' product, why would it be extended outside their area? Paul S |
