It beats me why a massive tidy up isn't launched to gather up all the old bits of rail and other substantial metalwork that is left alongside the tracks after a maintenance job. There must be money in all that metal, otherwise why would the rascals take such a pleasure in "recycling" it. I think it may be useful to have spare rails along the route in case a rail breaks. |
