Afternoon all,
I've already e-mailed TfL to complain about this, but figured it was worth repeating here. Cast your mind back to November 2011, when TfL ran a consultation proposing to introduce a new Night Bus route N113, to run from Edgware Bus Station to Trafalgar Square, along much the same route as day bus route 113. As the route parallels the N13 (North Finchley - Aldwych) between Fortune Green Road and Trafalgar Square, it was proposed to reduce the frequency of the N13 from every 15 minutes to every 30, providing a combined 15 minute frequency on the shared section. Under the old timetable, buses on the N13 towards Aldwych were scheduled at Golders Green station at 11, 26, 41 and 56 minutes past the hour. This provided a reasonably convenient connection from route 102 (Edmonton Green - Golders Green/Brent Cross), which arrived (and still does) at Golders Green at 17 and 47 minutes past the hour. I'm sure you can see where this is going already... Yup. Under the new timetable, the 26 and 56 minutes past the hour (15 and 45 minutes past the hour from North Finchley) buses have been replaced by N113 workings, giving a 25 minute wait at Golders Green instead of 10, and meaning I'll need to get a 102 half an hour earlier to get to work on time. TfL's "defence" in the consultation report is the existence of bus routes N5, N20, 102 and 134...none of which are the slightest use along the corridor in question, good innit? Cheers, Barry |

Cheers, Barry You could raise this as an issue on FixMyTransport.com - but then all bus and train cos ignore this - so maybe not. CJB. |
