A colleague informed me today that once all the Sx stock has been delivered there is a proposal to extend Metropolitan trains into the East End. Basically, a straight swap whereby H&C line trains would terminate at Aldgate and (Uxbridge only) Metropolitan trains would continue to Barking. Anyone care to comment on the likelihood or as to why? Also, he reckoned LT are toying with the idea of terminating some Circle line trains short at Kensington Olympia. Now that the Circle goes to Hammersmith, why even have the H&C? TfL can just extent the Uxbridge trains to Barking. Edgware Rd to Baker St will be Circle only. That will simplify operations. |
