Linesde equipment failure - points failure - signal failure - at Acton
Main Line or Ealing Broadway or ... These were the excuses. But many Intercity and local services cancelled - right in the middle of the evening rush-hour. All Greenfords cancelled. Nothing stopping at Acton ML, Ealing Broadway, West Ealing, Hanwell, Southall. Paddington Station concourse very crowded and sans any visible management - none from FGW - certainly none from BAA (HEX / HConn) - par for the course. Eventually caught over-crowded local to Reading. Non-stop to Hayes & Harlington. No explanations or announcements or apologies from driver. Saw Crossrail freight train stalled at Ealing in the up local. HConn stalled at West Ealing. Also HConn parked at bay platform 5 at Hayes. The usual chaos when things go wrong on the GWML. CJB. |

I don't often see eye to eye with your posts, but if you check back a bit in the group the handling of disruption last Wednesday was as atrocious as it was officious. And the Twitterer was unhelpful.
