Of course there are. There's a very low one next to Chelmsford station,
for example.

It's high enough for double-decker buses, which is fortunate considering
the location of the bus station. But they have to go through the middle,
so "alternate" working is required.

SWT did it round Southampton when they were rebuilding the tunnel.

can assume, train stations often seem to have been built up higher than the

On a historical note. Haverhill was high, Somersham, Linton, Bartlow,
all long gone.

It was done the weekend just past by Cross Country between Peterborough and
Cambridge, but not last weekend when my wife was travelling that way. So she
went by train via Hitchin.

West to Wales and Cornwall (maybe Devon) and north to Scotland ? OTOH
East Anglia......

Chelmsford always used to have paint-scrapes under the railway bridge
by the station, where the buses clipped it because they didn't stay
between the markings.
Strictly speaking, that isn't Anglia, of course ...

It's served by Greater Anglia, and as far as most people are concerned
East Anglia includes Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex. So Chelmsford counts.

The original thread arose from Rail Replacement Buses between Peterborough
and Cambridge, so more West Anglia than Anglia.

There's at least one road that goes under the route from Cambridge to
Peterborough - Turf Drove, southeast of Coates, west of Turves. I'm
sure there are others.
