service, albeit procured by TfL? Only LU has named lines.

are unofficial though.

Boris's suggestion will simply become the "Queenie Tube" or "Lizzie
Line" or somesuch. The proposed name is too long - tube lines are
nearly always named with a single word (Victoria) or composite
(Bakerloo). East London had some geographic reasoning as did
Hammersmith and City although that's a recent invention.

Wasn't there a Hammersmith & City Railway who built part of that line
originally?

West Ham to change Upton Park to Olympic Park.

There are enough problems already with football and station names here.
You'd be looking to rename both Stratfords (admittedly one of them could be
made more accurate) rather than having people roaming Green Street in search
of the new stadium.

Sort of. It was a Metropolitan and Great Western Joint line.

I see someone's created an example of a fully sponsored Tube map in Time
Out. I don't know how long ago it was done (probably quite recently), but
the map it's based on is a few years old (pre-Overground):

One of the Madrid Metro stations is essentially for the "Telefonica
campus", which might be a good case for corporate branding.
