my name is Andre, I am writing on behalf of StudioAR, an architecture
practice based in London. Currently we are designing a showcase for a
british eyewear brand in New York City, and part of the design proposal
envolves a London tube carriage. Taking into consideration this as crucial
part of the design proposal, we need to come up with the prices on the
possibility of acquiring an unused tube carriage. So, would it be possible
to reach the informations regarding this acquisition?

I'm pretty sure that after the 1995-ish revamp of Northern Line carriages one could buy an old one for one thousand pounds. But you had to take it away yourself. Not too hard or expensive. But are any now available?

There's that place up in north London where they put a couple of old tube carriages on top of an old building or somewhere and rent them out as low-cost office space. I saw something about it on the TV, the actual cost of buying them wasn't high, but I think the bill for getting them in place was around £100,000.

I was offered a Routemaster bus for £5,000 many years ago. I suspect
the offer was genuine. I was told who to contact if interested.

Is there a company who specialises in dismantling these when out of service
