Where was the old red station building; was it where the bus station is now,
next to the old Central London Railway power station? What is the smaller part of the power station which is not used by buses used for now? There seems to be some sort of equipment in there; is it a substation for the Underground? Other than filming some of 'Who framed Roger Rabbit', what was the power station building used for after it ceased to be a power station? |

More or less - it was on the south east corner of the junction of Wood Lane and Ariel Way - the carriageway of the bus station is set back from Wood Lane somewhat, so the old station building frontage was where the wide pavement is now (which also hosts a Cycle Hire docking station). FWIW the red brick and black glazed building on the north east corner of the junction, Network House, is not new, so might help a little when comparing old and new views: http://underground-history.co.uk/woodlane.php http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Network_House_in_Wood_Lane_with_Ariel_Way_jun ction_in_London_Borough_of_Hammersmith_and_Fulham, _spring_2013_%281%29.jpg I assume the new building you can see in the above photo that features ventilation shafts is just that, ventilation for the Central line which runs beneath.
