I guess they think it's better to waste a few seconds here and there instead of being held at a station further down the line for a couple of minutes "to regulate the service". If the timings are the same for peak and non-peak periods, then the stops will be longer than needed off-peak or the trains will run slower between stops. Clark Morris |
