This is expected to continue until August 2016. How many people made that change? A lot of people from SWT-land working in the London Bridge area. Or does the London Bridge works mean that some people will be commuting into Waterloo and connecting to LB, rather than commuting direct to LB? 'commuting direct to to LB' isn't a sensible option from a lot of SWT territory. -- DAS |

I know someone who commutes from Surrey on SWT to Waterloo (and then generally walks to LB) but he can also go to LB via Redhill. -- Roland Perry |

Is it enough to cause an issue?# I haven't been that way for a while, but Waterloo East is always very busy. Or does the London Bridge works mean that some people will be commuting into Waterloo and connecting to LB, rather than commuting direct to LB? Southern services would divert to Victoria, not Waterloo. Thameslink to Elephant & Castle or Blackfriars is also an option. ISTR there was a proposal to divert some SE trains services to Waterloo International but that obviously hasn't happened. 'commuting direct to to LB' isn't a sensible option from a lot of SWT territory. I know someone who commutes from Surrey on SWT to Waterloo (and then generally walks to LB) but he can also go to LB via Redhill. There are bits of SWT where there is a choice, but there is a lot more that doesn't. An excample would be someone I know who used to commute from Wokingham to Greenwich with changes at Waterloo and London Bridge. -- DAS |

See the number of people making a Waterloo East - London Bridge journey in the morning peak, for instance. |
