Sun, 7 Jun 2015, Recliner remarked: Crossrail are hoping to run 8tph offpeak from Shenfield, despite currently only having permission to run six. As Crossrail will be the main (only?) operator on the slow lines to Shenfield, who is it that is limiting the service? ORR. -- Roland Perry |

The Greater Anglia franchise holder is running trains to Southend, Braintree etc. They are fast to Shenfield though. The ORR's stance may be aimed more at having a 10-minute clockface timetable and reducing the subsidy if they think 6tph is adequate for the passenger numbers. -- Roland Perry |
