Southeastern really must improve its comms.
Here is today's Disruptions update – but what does it actually mean for passengers? == Planned engineering work will take place. Between Plumstead and Slade Green From 03:00, Saturday 06 June 2015 to 03:00, Monday 08 June 2015. All lines will be closed. All services will be replaced by buses between Plumstead and Dartford. London Charing Cross to Gillingham services will run as booked to Blackheath, then divert calling at Eltham, Bexleyheath and then as booked from Dartford. London Cannon Street circular trains via Greenwich and Sidcup will run between London Cannon Street and Sidcup via Hither Green. .. Customer Advice: A bus service will be in operation between Plumstead and Dartford. Valid rail tickets will be accepted on Docklands Light Railway services between Lewisham and Greenwich and also on local bus route 380 between Blackheath and Charlton. == Are there any trains between Woolwich / Greenwich and Central London today? Many passengers in this area have no idea of the train's starting point: Dartford? Chatham? Slade Green? People don't know, don't care – and shouldn't NEED to know. Yes, Southeastern is a very complex operation. Yes, there are many overlapping routes and services. But distilling operational information into something customers can understand is not difficult – provided you have people with the right skills in place. -- kenwATlondonsriver.com |
