I flew into Gatwick Airport on Friday at 4pm and used my Oyster card to
go to Dalston Jct, changing at East Croydon and Brockley. The fair is capped at £14 but the peak time fare to New Cross Gate, where I've usually changed and gone from Oyster to a national rail fare, is listed at £14 but a separate national rail single is £9.90 even at peak time. Seems TFL is overcharging at peak times if you are only going to say NCG, and the combined fare to Dalston Jct would be £12.80. And the non peak is a massive drop from £14 to £8. E. |

The TfL site is showing Gatwick - New Cross Gate as £9.70 peak / £6.50 off peak. Peter Smyth |
