NW London has several regeneration projects creating thousands of new
homes. Maybe they are hoping oversupply will bring the unit prices down.

That doesn't sound like a very sensible building. Are people expected to
climb up the outside to get to anywhere above the ground floor? Will
there be water and electricity? Is it OK for it to blow over in a strong

If memory serves, Travelodge were the first to use such a construction
