It's comparable with most of the station separations between Harold Wood
and Hanwell. Paddington to OOC is significantly further than most of the
station separations between Harold Wood and Hanwell.

I can imagine some BCBG couple in Lille one morning:

«Heuh! Chérie! Did you realise that we could be walking along Ladbroke Grove in only une heure quarante minutes??»

You do realise that HS1, HS2 and Crossrail are three separate railways?
