Why not indeed? The new name Lea Bridge, is wrong.
Lea Bridge is about a third of a mile away. They should
have continued with the original name Lea Bridge Road.


I think "Leyton Lea" would be more meaningful.
Most residents of Leyton would wonder what the hell you
were referring to.
