I was amused by the Down Street tour which included tea at the Athenaeum. When I went on the Down Street tour you only had to take the steps down - at the end of the tour they stopped a passing Piccadilly Line train and everyone got on through the driver's door. The passengers in the first carriage seemed a bit surprised to see so many leaving what they assumed was a tiny driver's cab. But it definitely didn't include tea anywhere. -- Clive Page |
