There is no new line. The new station will be built around the existing
line, and when the new station opens, the trains will still run through the closed station without stopping. What, so the station will be closed forever? If, so when does it close. I was there yesterday and found it very annoying that there is an underground tunnel linking Kings X and ThamesLink, but no mention of it above ground. -- To reply direct, remove NOSPAM and replace with railwaysonline For Railway Information, News & Photos check out the Award Winning Railways Online at http://www.railwaysonline.co.uk "Loving First Great Western Link since 2004" |

To use it you have to have a ticket valid on the Underground because you have to go through an Underground gateline and the route is much slower and more convoluted than the above ground way. The weather would have to be really atrocious for it to be a sensible route when starting at ground level. Dave. |

It is not better or convenient to go the underground route from Kings Cross concourse to Kings Cross Thameslink concourse. Dave. |

Yes, but the underground route between the tube and Thameslink *is* signposted from all deep tube platforms and also from the Thameslink end. -- John Rowland - Spamtrapped Transport Plans for the London Area, updated 2001 http://www.geocities.com/Athens/Acro...69/tpftla.html A man's vehicle is a symbol of his manhood. That's why my vehicle's the Piccadilly Line - It's the size of a county and it comes every two and a half minutes |

If you have a ticketvalid for a through journey that involves changing from Kings Cross or St Pancras to Kings Cross Thameslink, you almost certainly have a ticket with LUL validity. Are there any tickets which will work the gates at KXTL but not at KX (LUL)? Peter |

Because to use it, you have to have a ticket to go through the Picadilly
gate at KGX. Well a sign like: "Kings Cross ThamesLink (Ticket Holders Only)" would have been good, which would save a horrible walk down a crowded road where you have to wait forever for the Crossing to change to green -- To reply direct, remove NOSPAM and replace with railwaysonline For Railway Information, News & Photos check out the Award Winning Railways Online at http://www.railwaysonline.co.uk |
