... I meant once KXTL is closed and StP MR is open. If that ticket office is closed then I imagine a member of (LU) staff will be still be required to man the gates - which would probably lead to restricted opening hours for that entrance. Isn't that entrance going to become an unmanned emergency exit only, once the TL platforms shut? -- John Rowland - Spamtrapped Transport Plans for the London Area, updated 2001 http://www.geocities.com/Athens/Acro...69/tpftla.html A man's vehicle is a symbol of his manhood. That's why my vehicle's the Piccadilly Line - It's the size of a county and it comes every two and a half minutes |

The immediate vicinity of KX Thameslink is less than salubrious, so any passengers exiting a future closed KX Thameslink in the event of an emergency would not find themselves in an area of London village mentioned in the tourist guidebooks. |

Yes, I'm sure people emerging from an emergency evacuation would be ever so distressed at not being able to see a Starbucks. -- Richard J. (to e-mail me, swap uk and yon in address) |

Isn't that entrance going to become an unmanned emergency exit only, once the TL platforms shut? If that is the case, why did LU bother to make it a full time access, changing lots of signs, a few years ago. I assumed that they identified a need for a separate station for local users - particularly when all the rebuilding work in the area is finished. -- Peter Lawrence |
