It does seem strange that it was fully fitted-out, even to the extent of having telephones fitted, I seem to remember. It did, however, recently (within the last couple of months) had a new gateline installed. And the model of gates they are using is completely new, and one that I've never seen anywhere on the network. Brad |

They'd also have to have had to replace all the signs pointing to the exits at that end of the station because from what I could see, they all pointed to 'Great Wharf Road'. Which was presumably what Canary Wharf was originally going to call that road on the eastern side of the estate before they decided on 'Upper Bank St'. |

They'll probably have the lifts working by 2008. Where exactly are the lifts? I always assumed they had them, but I don't actually recall seeing any. Are they hidden? Or is it just my memory? |

That's only 4 years after the rest of the line was opened! Although, to be fair to them, I suspect the wait was more to do with the fact that until a few months ago there wasn't really anything at that end of Canary Wharf to make it worth while opening these exits rather than them taking 4 years to install an escalator or something... I wish they would hurry up and complete the Bow Water park, or whatever it is called, and open the other exit at Canning Town station - *far* more convenient, that would be! For Canary Wharf?
