Town,
you can see the other platform from the one you're going to use.
CX branch? I know you can see CT1 from the cab if you're going to

CT3, but
didn't think you could from the train. Now if you were to say the

City
branch ...... :-)

I've certainly seen CT1 from the window going to CT3, but I don't
offhand recall when - I *thought* it was on a CX train. The geometry
also made me think I'd see CT3 when going to CT1.

You wouldn't see CT3 if going into CT1 from the CX branch, because the
Edgware CX branch comes out almost at CT1 - past the junction to CT3.

From the CX Barnet branch, CT1 can be seen straight ahead from the cab
(before the diversion, this used to be the original route to CT1). The
route to CT3 goes off to the right. It may be possible to see a bit of
CT1 if looking out of the window at a certain angle.

The route from the City to CT3 runs parallel with the CX Barnet branch,
then veers right to join it on the way to CT3. It is at this point that
it should be easy to see CT1.

I was driving on the CX branch to CT3 yesterday and had a closer look. The
junction is more angled than I thought at the point where the City branch
joins the CX branch as it bends round to CT3 so yes, you probably could
see CT1 when going into CT3 from the CX branch.
