Hi all,

I have just noticed that a pothole in the road surface of Goldhurst Terrace
at the junction with Finchley Road has revealed what I believe is a somewhat
twisted piece of tram track. I am surprised that the trams went around
Goldhurst Terrace - was this a terminal loop, or were there trams heading
down the narrow roads to West Hampstead?

There were no trams in that part of London. The nearest was probably the
Metropolitan line 60 which came down the northern part of Finchley Road
but then turned down Cricklewood Lane towards Willesdon.
